Checkbook for Excel Help

View Ledger

View Ledger

The View Ledger tool (shown above) functions differently depending on which worksheet is active in Checkbook for Excel. If you currently have a Ledger worksheet active, the cell cursor will automatically move to the last transaction in the ledger. If you currently have a worksheet other than a Ledger worksheet active, and you have only one Ledger worksheet in the workbook, the view will automatically switch to the Ledger (1) worksheet with the cell cursor in the last transaction. If you have more than one Ledger worksheet, the Select Ledger form will be displayed. A list box will allow you to choose the Ledger you wish to view then click OK to go to that ledger.

In addition to displaying the Ledger and moving the cell cursor to the last transaction, any filters that were applied using the Filters tool or the  Create Report tool, will be removed so that all the transactions are displayed. For more details on filters and reports, click one of the previous links.

If you have multiple Ledger worksheets in your Checkbook for Excel workbook, anytime you click a tool on the Checkbook Tab that works within a specific ledger, the Select Ledger form will allow you to choose the Ledger you want to work with if you don't already have one active. If you already have a Ledger worksheet active, the tool will work with the active ledger.
