Editing Scores
The Enter Scores function is only for adding new scores to the program. You cannot delete or edit existing scores from the Score Entry form. If you wish to edit or delete scoring information, go to the Scores worksheet by clicking the Scores tab at the bottom of the screen. To edit a score, find the score you want to change and type in the new information. The Score Differential, Handicap Differential, Par Differential, and Net Score columns are all protected formulas that will update automatically if you change the scoring information. The records are sorted by golfer from oldest to most recent score. Double-clicking on a particular cell will allow you to edit its contents directly. (You can also use the same methods described above to edit nine-hole scores in the Uncombined Nines worksheet.)
You can use the "Toggle Filter" button at the top of the Scores worksheet to filter or limit the scores that are displayed. Clicking the "Toggle Filter" button will put Excel into AutoFilter mode and place a small drop down button at the top of each column. You can filter the data based on any value or range of values in any column by clicking the drop down button at the top of the column and selecting a value or choosing "Custom" to define more complex criteria. This allows you to quickly limit the scores displayed to a single golfer or single date. Clicking the "Toggle Filter" button again will exit AutoFilter mode and display all the scores. For more information on using AutoFilter, search Microsoft Excel help on "AutoFilter" and read the appropriate topics in Excel's help file.
