Checkbook for Excel allows you to split transactions across multiple expense and income categories. (See the Entering Transactions topic for more information on transaction splits.) However, the splits are hidden on the Ledger worksheets to make them more manageable. The View Ledger Splits tool (the second tool shown above) creates a copy of the Ledger in a separate Excel file. This view can be printed or saved separately from the main Checkbook for Excel file. You can also view the transaction splits by selecting a cell in the transaction with the splits and clicking on the word Category at the top of the Category column. This will display a form where you can view and edit the transaction splits.
