Checkbook for Excel automatically creates a backup copy of itself every time that you save it. If you accidentally save a mistake or if the file somehow becomes corrupted, you can find a file named "Backup of (and the name of your checkbook)" with a .XLK extension.
As with all your data files, it is also important that you backup your Checkbook for Excel file. This can be done as part of the routine back up of your computer or by occasionally copying the file to a USB drive or some other backup media.
